Warzone 2 Season 2 brings the brand-new Ashika Island Resurgence map but it’s also bringing changes to Al Mazrah. Here are all the major map changes coming in Season 2, including the classic Afghan map and underground cave system.

Warzone 2 Season 2 is bringing major changes to Modern Warfare 2‘s battle royale, reverting many mechanics such as looting and the Gulag back to the original game. The fan-favorite Resurgence mode returns with the brand-new Ashika Island map, but Al Mazrah will also be getting some love in Season 2.

After the devs teased a change to the Sattiq Cave Complex area, they revealed all of the major Al Mazrah map changes coming in Warzone 2 Season 2 on February 15.

Afghan plane arrives in Warzone 2 Season 2

The iconic Afghan plane finally arrives in Warzone 2 Season 2.

While the Sattiq Cave Network featured the classic Modern Warfare 2 Afghan map, it was missing its most iconic feature, but no longer.

The classic Afghan plane has crash-landed at the Sattiq Cave Complex, bringing the iconic map to life in Al Mazrah. The devs say the “new downed plane offers a great amount of cover in between the large cave openings, houses, and bunkers.”

Passenger Train in Warzone 2 Season 2

Another train arrives in Al Mazrah with the Warzone 2 Season 2 update, but this time it’s a passenger train.

This passenger train is similar to the freight train, offering quick rotations and plenty of high-tier loot. But instead of the wide-open nature of the freight train, you’ll have to move through different cars such as the “sleeper, bar, and normal passenger cars.”

All of these cars will offer cover, where only a few are accessible through skylights on the roof. To travel between cars, you’ll need to open the doors between each one.

Underground Cave Network in Warzone 2 Season 2

The most northern area of Al Mazrah now includes an underground cave network that connects the major POIs and landmarks in that region such as Rohan Oil and Taraq Village.

There will be five entrances to these caves, with drop-downs and typical cave entrances. There will also be loot to find inside these tunnels, so they’ll be well worth a visit.
