Warzone 2 December 16 update: Crashing fix, DMZ AI nerf & Heavy Chopper removed
Warzone 2 devs confirmed that a December 16 update has been pushed out to solve various bugs and issues that have been plaguing the battle royale.
While Warzone 2 got off to a hot start alongside Modern Warfare 2, the battle royale has since seen a dip in players one month after its release. CoD fans were immediately intrigued by new inclusions like Al Mazrah and Proximity Chat, but the frequent crashing issues and several bugs continued to mar the experience.
Players were hopeful that the game’s most prominent bugs and glitches would be addressed in the Season 1 Reloaded update on December 14. While the update delivered much-needed quality-of-life improvements, it didn’t address some of the game’s biggest issues.
Thankfully, on December 16 both Infinity Ward and Raven Software took to Twitter to announce that some major issues were addressed in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
Both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players were dealing with their games crashing at random times, thus ruining their matches in progress. Hopefully, this latest fix will have solved the issue once and for all.
That’s not all as Raven announced that a change to DMZ AI combatants has also been deployed. Following the Season 1 Reloaded update, several players noted that AI combatants appeared stronger than usual.
It turns out this was an unintentional change, and the difficulty of AI combatants across DMZ has been reduced.
This list of announcements doesn’t stop there as Infinity Ward also announced that the ability to save Custom Blueprints is working as intended after they rolled out a quick fix.
Following the Season 1 Reloaded update players received the ability to save Custom Blueprints but certain aspects like weapon tuning would not save in-game. This has now been addressed by the devs and attachment tuning will also carry over to your saved Custom Blueprint.
The final announcement arrived by way of Raven Software as they revealed they would be removing the Heavy Chopper from Warzone 2 for the time being. After the vehicle was deemed overpowered in the late game, the devs will work on balancing the Heavy Chopper.
