How to save custom weapon Blueprints in Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded has finally added the ability to save your custom weapon builds as Blueprints, so here’s how.

With Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 featuring a ton of different attachments that can be tuned almost any way you like, players quickly became frustrated that a classic feature was missing from the game. In previous CoDs, players could save a custom weapon Blueprint, allowing them to access their pre-built loadouts any time they wanted.

Modern Warfare 2 players felt attachment tuning was “useless” without the feature, but it finally arrived in the Season 1 Reloaded update alongside Shipment, Raids, and the Chimera Assault Rifle.

Here’s how to save custom weapon builds in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, and how to find those you’ve built.

How to save custom weapon builds in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2

Once in the Gunsmith screen where you select your attachments, press L2 on PlayStation, LT on Xbox, or click on the ‘Save a Custom Mod’ button on PC to save a custom weapon Blueprint in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.

This will bring up a menu where you name your ‘Custom Mod’ to find easily find it again, and it’ll also tell you how many slots you’ve used.

Here’s a quick breakdown of everything you have to do:

  1. Launch Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2
  2. Navigate to the Weapons tab
  3. Select a Weapon and open the Gunsmith menu
  4. Add all of the attachments and tuning you want
  5. Press:
    • L2 on PlayStation
    • LT on Xbox
    • Click the ‘Save a Custom Mod’ button on PC
  6. Enter a name for your custom weapon build
  7. Hit ‘Save Weapon’

You can save five custom Blueprints for each weapon in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, so should never run out of space.

How to find custom weapon Blueprints in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2

To find all of your custom weapon Blueprints in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, simply click on the weapon you wish to select and then find the saved build alongside the base weapon and Blueprints.
