Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded will bring the brand-new Building 21 area to DMZ, and it’s got players speculating that many more locations are still to come.

Season 1 Reloaded has expanded Warzone 2’s DMZ mode, tasking players with finding the mysterious new Building 21. Although it’s not in the game just yet, similar to Escape from Tarkov’s Labs location, DMZ’s Building 21 is a totally separate area from Al Mazrah, offering players a much tougher challenge and the chance to earn the Chimera Assault Rifle.

The Season 1 Reloaded update has added the ‘Choose Location’ screen before you deploy into DMZ. Building 21 should arrive on this screen soon, and with Infinity Ward’s tease that “While DMZ begins in Al Mazrah, no one quite knows where it may lead…”, players expect other locations to be added to this screen over time.

Popular leaker TheGhostofHope kicked off the speculation by saying that “this screen has me excited by the future of DMZ,” sharing a screenshot of this “Choose location” screen.

“I am now expecting multiple maps,” replied one player. “Not just BIG major maps… but intense small ones too.” Hope replied saying that they expect the leaked Resurgence map to have “12 players or something similar to how EFT maps operate which will be really cool to see.”

Warzone 2’s devs teased “exciting developments” for fans of small battle royale maps “during future seasons.” Then, a Warzone 2 Resurgence map seemingly leaked in early December, and reports claim it’ll play a part in DMZ as well.

Players also expect Las Almas to arrive in a future season, as the Mexican mountain range is available in Ground War matches and a fully realized map can be found in the campaign. If it releases, players expect it to feature a similar DMZ experience to Al Mazrah.

There’s also a chance Infinity Ward will bring entirely new areas that nobody can predict, similar to how Building 21 was a total surprise in its Season 1 Reloaded announcement.

If you’ve yet to try Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, be sure to join in on the free weekend and take advantage of the Double XP event.
