Underused Warzone 2 Assault Rifle loadout is “absolutely insane” in Season 2

Warzone 2 expert Metaphor claims that an underused AR is actually Season 2’s best Sniper support weapon.

Warzone 2 players were hoping that the Season 2 update would refresh the meta of the RPK and Fennec, but unfortunately, these weapons are continuing to dominate.

However, there are weapons that have been buffed to compete with them, as players have found success with the Lachmann Sub and the one-shot MCPR and Victus XMR Sniper builds.

Pairing these one-shot Snipers with a powerful Sniper support weapon is vital to success, and Warzone 2 content creator Metaphor believes an underused AR is the best for this in Season 2.

The Chimera is currently one of the most underused Assault Rifles in Warzone 2 Season 2, with a low pick rate of 1.5% according to WZ Ranked. With that said, Metaphor believes it is criminally underrated, as he calls it “absolutely insane.”

Metaphor Warzone 2 Chimera loadout

  • Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
  • Stock: TRX-56 Stock
  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip

For this Warzone 2 Chimera loadout, Metaphor has decided to go with attachments that make this weapon strong at mid-range, hence the loadout having no barrel or muzzle attachment.

With that said, the Lockgrip Precision-40 will help with hip fire accuracy and recoil steadiness, and to balance out the loss of mobility, the Bruen Flash Grip provides some sprint to fire speed and aim down sight speed.

The Cronen Mini Pro will provide a nice clean sight for accuracy, while the TRX-56 Stock will further help with recoil control and aiming stability.

Definitely give this weapon a try, as Metaphor believes this weapon is “slept on,” especially since Snipers are so dominant at the moment. The Warzone 2 content creator managed to drop 20 kills while using the Chimera with the MCPR-300, so you may want to give it a shot.
