MCPR in Modern Warfare 2

The MCPR-300 is one of Modern Warfare 2’s deadliest Sniper Rifles and will be the go-to long-range weapon in those early matches. We’ve put together the best MCPR-300 loadout in Modern Warfare 2 so you can dominate from a distance.

There are more than 40 different weapons to choose from in Modern Warfare 2, all of which are useful in different situations. Many players will lean towards Assault Rifles like the M4, for versatility, or SMGs like the PDSW 528 to blow opponents away at close range.

But sometimes a Sniper Rifle can really turn the tide of a match, picking off enemies from afar to clear the way for the rest of your team. Luckily, the MCPR-300 is a devasting Sniper Rifle that’s available early on.

Here’s the best MCPR-300 loadout in Modern Warfare 2, complete with the best attachments, Perks, and equipment.

Best Modern Warfare 2 MCPR-300 loadout attachments

  • Barrel: 19″ Silentfire Barrel
  • Laser: Corio Laz-44 V3
  • Ammunition: .300 Mag High Velocity
  • Magazine: 5 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Cronen Cheetah Grip

We kick off our best MCPR-300 loadout with the 19″ Silentfire Barrel, which comes with a nice boost to bullet velocity and damage range, while also suppressing shots to save an attachment elsewhere.

The MCPR is quite bulky in MW2, so we’ve also gone for a number of attachments to make it feel snappier, starting with the Corio Laz-44 V3 Laser to improve ADS speeds. Next up is the 5 Round Mag which also makes aiming quicker, as well as decreasing reload speed and increasing general movement speed.

We’ve also included the Cronen Cheetah Grip for another ADS buff, on top of better sprint-to-fire speed to make sure you can react quickly enough.

Finally, we recommend .300 Mag High Velocity rounds, to make your bullets travel quickly so it’s easier to land shots at long range.

Best Modern Warfare 2 MCPR-300 Perks & equipment

  • Base Perk 1: Scavenger
  • Base Perk 2: Overkill
  • Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
  • Ultimate Perk: Ghost
  • Lethal Equipment: Proximity Mine
  • Tactical Equipment: Stim
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System

When it comes to Perks, Overkill is extremely important as it allows you to bring another primary weapon along. We’d advise choosing an SMG like the VEL 46 so you can react to flanking enemies or score kills while moving position.

It’s easy to burn through ammo while sniping, so Scavenger gives you the ability to resupply on the go. For the Bonus Perk, we’ve gone for Fast Hands to make switching weapons quicker when an enemy gets the drop on you.

Finally, Ghost is the ideal Ultimate Perk for Snipers, as it keeps you off the radar and safely hidden.

Equipment-wise, Proximity Mines can quickly kill anyone who tries to sneak into the building you’re sniping from, while Stims offer quick healing if you get hit by another Sniper with the same idea.

Many players will use grenades to try and flush you out, so the Trophy System Field Upgrade will defend your nest from any equipment.

How to unlock MCPR-300 in Modern Warfare 2

The MCPR-300 is one of the few weapons that is available from the start in Modern Warfare 2, so you don’t need to do anything to unlock it.

Simply reach level 4 to receive custom loadouts and you can begin unlocking attachments and playing around with loadouts.

Best MCPR-300 alternatives in Modern Warfare 2

If the MCPR-300 feels a bit too heavy and clumsy, you could switch SP-X 80 which is far more mobile and ideal for quickscoping, or the SP-R 208 Marksman Rifle.

On the other hand, if you want a long-range weapon that isn’t as limiting, the 556 Icarus is a top-tier LMG.
