FaZe Booya proves Warzone 2’s best AR is perfect for Ashika Island

Warzone 2 Season 2 introduced Ashika Island and expert Ean ‘FaZe Booya’ Chase wasted no time in proving that the best Assault Rifle in the game can dominate matches on the small map.

As Warzone 2 players get reacquainted with the fan-favorite Resurgence mode, many are wondering which weapons to use in Season 2. Oftentimes, the weapon meta differs based on the map selection between Ashika Island and Al Mazrah.

However, FaZe Booya took the time to prove that with a few tweaks, the game’s best weapons can excel on both Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. The top Warzone player took to Ashika Island with Warzone 2’s best Assault Rifle, the TAQ-56.

Muzzle: Harbinger D20
Barrel: 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel
Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity
Magazine: 40 Round Mag

The Harbinger D20 and 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel are standard attachments for the TAQ-56 as they boost the weapon’s damage range, recoil control, and most importantly bullet velocity.

Extra bullet velocity is essential on Ashika Island as the added speed and distance of your bullets will make a major difference in medium-range gunfights that are so common across the map.

For that same reason, Booya decides to equip the 5.56 High Velocity ammunition as well. Instead of the standard 60 Round Mag, Booya opts for a 40 Round Mag to limit the reduction of ADS speed.

Ashika Island requires a quick and snappy Assault Rifle build, which means the Warzone expert also opts for the FSS OLE-V Laser. This attachment will further boost ADS speed and sprint to fire speed.
