How to preload Vanguard: Date & download size
Call of Duty: Vanguard is almost here, and players are able to preload the game ahead of its November 5 release date. Here’s how to preload Vanguard, and all of its file size information.
As games get more advanced and demanding, they’re starting to take up more and more of players’ hard drives. Modern Warfare, with all its components, takes up 175GB of space, which has caused many to have to delete games to make room for it.

How to preload CoD: Vanguard
If you’ve pre-ordered Vanguard on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC, you can now preload the game by heading to your game library and downloading it. This means the game will be there ready for you as soon as it’s available to play.
Console players can dive into the WW2 action midnight local time, except for players in North America. North American and PC players worldwide can play the game at 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET / 4 AM GMT (November 5).
CoD: Vanguard download file size
Vanguard’s download size will be significantly smaller than Cold War’s thanks to new on-demand texture streaming technology.
The official Call of Duty Blog posted all of the new information regarding the CoD: Vanguard download file size on October 26, 2021. As with previous Call of Duty games, the CoD: Vanguard download file size will be different depending on the platform you are playing on.

How to reduce Call of Duty Vanguard file size
Luckily, Call of Duty devs have incorporated ways to reduce Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War’s file sizes, allowing you to select the different content packs you want to have installed.
Vanguard will follow suit, allowing you to either install and uninstall the campaign, but you have to have multiplayer installed.
By uninstalling this content pack, you can significantly reduce the Vanguard download file size, depending on your gaming needs.
Warzone is currently tied to Modern Warfare, but it could switch over to Vanguard alongside the deep integration and new Warzone map. Currently, you must have Warzone installed to play Modern Warfare. At the time of writing, it’s uncertain whether Warzone will be required.
