Modern Warfare 2 players are frustrated after being locked out of the Vault Edition Double XP bonus reward.

With players racing to reach max level for both weapons and Military Rank in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, there are a lot of ways that they can level up fast, including completing challenges and using Double XP Tokens.

There have been opportunities for players to get some of these Double XP Tokens for Modern Warfare 2, as they were included in the pre-order bonuses.

These can help players level up guns and rank, but unfortunately, those who purchased the Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition expecting to gain some ten-hour Double XP Tokens have been left empty-handed.

The reason players who purchased the Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition have been left without Double XP Tokens, is that the pre-order needed to be made through the “in-game Store of Vanguard, Cold War, Warzone, or MW2019.”

This has obviously left players extremely dissatisfied, with some in the comments of CharlieIntel‘s post wondering “what difference does it make if you buy it in game or not? why does that matter??”

Some feel extremely hard done by, as users are claiming that it wasn’t “a prominent enough part of their marketing,” causing a lot of people to purchase the Vault Edition thinking they would get these Double XP Tokens.

Those who paid to get the Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition rewards including the Red Team 141 Operators will be extremely unhappy, especially since there’s a way for those who pre-ordered the Standard Edition of MW2 to upgrade to the Vault Edition within the in-game stores and obtain these Double XP Tokens.
