Modern Warfare 2 Assault Rifle replaces TAQ-56 as “top” Season 2 meta choice
Modern Warfare 2 expert WhosImmortal has revealed the Assault Rifle loadout that he believes is “top of the meta” in Season 2.
Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 landed with brand-new content for players to get their hands on. As well as bringing Ranked Play to the game, which players have been fairly critical of, the update also brought a new Battle Pass like any new season would.
In the Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Battle Pass, not only is there a new Operator to unlock but there are also some new weapons. Both the new weapons and buffs and nerfs have shifted the meta yet again, leaving players wondering what the best loadout is for Season 2.
While identifying the top 10 best meta class setups in MW2 Season 2, popular Call of Duty content creator WhosImmortal revealed the AR loadout that they claim is “top of the meta.”
The update introduced the KV Broadside and the ISO Hemlock, with the Tempus Torrent set to arrive in-season. The ISO Hemlock has definitely been the highlight so far, and it’s now WhosImmortal’s pick for the best meta class setup in MW2 Season 2.
WhosImmortal’s Modern Warfare 2 ISO Hemlock loadout
- Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
- Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip
- Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity
- Rear Grip: XTEN Grip
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
For WhosImmortal‘s ISO Hemlock loadout in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, the content creator goes for the XTEN Grip for better movement and mobility, as he feels that the recoil is “so easy.”
The High Velocity ammunition is great for giving the weapon more mid-to-long-range potential, increasing the bullet velocity and range. The Edge-47 Grip underbarrel will also help with longer-ranged engagements, buffing aiming stability and recoil.
Lastly, the Sakin Tread-40 further helps with recoil control, helping both verticle and horizontal recoil so you can hit more of your shots.
The ISO Hemlock isn’t exactly going under the radar, as its power is actually causing players to call for it to be banned in Ranked. WhosImmortal states that it’s very similar to the TAQ-56, but is starting to lean more towards the ISO Hemlock, believing it is the “most consistent and reliable gun in the game right now.”
