What’s the best Shotgun in Cold War Season 2? Every gun ranked & tier list
We’ve gone through and ranked all of CoD: Cold War’s Shotguns, placed these powerful beasts into different tiers, and ordered them from worst to best in Season 2.
Even a bad Shotgun is a good shotgun. There’s an unquestionable sense of power you get when lugging around a Shotgun, as you know that if anyone steps into your path, then they’re going down.
Black Ops Cold War boasts some sensational shotguns that can easily pile up a healthy body count in seconds. From pump-action shotguns to fully automatic wrecking balls, there’s something for everyone.
So let’s go through them and break them down for you.
CoD: Black Ops Cold War: weapon tier list
We’re going to take a moment to assign each of Cold War’s Shotguns an official tier before we place them in order. Yes, there aren’t too many of them, but it does provide further insight.
Here is our official tier list of all of Black Ops Cold War’s Shotguns:
- S-Tier: Streetsweeper, Gallo SA12
- B-Tier: Hauer 77
Just to explain the system, our S-Tier weapons are the top-of-the-line powerhouses, the A-Tier are great, the B-Tier weapons are just missing something, and C-Tier ones are not worth your time.
CoD: Black Ops Cold War best Shotguns
3. Hauer 77
If you can get within touching distance of your potential assailant, then the Hauer 77 can blow them away to kingdom come. If not, then you might have a hit-and-miss time.
When a Shotgun’s fire rate is reduced to accommodate a different firing style, you expect the drop-off in speed to come at the benefit of vastly increased firepower. To an extent, you get that with the Hauer, but if there’s a healthy gap between yourself and the other person, then the Hauer 77 desperately struggles to perform.
2. Gallo SA12
For the longest time, people enjoyed using the Gallo as a main weapon. It’s extremely strong, has great range, and its semi-auto nature makes it destroy opponents.
To be perfectly honest, it has very few, if any, major issues. If you demand some kind of reasoning to suggest that it isn’t best, it’s that its base pellet spread is quite wide. So you can’t go around spraying the Gallo willy-nilly, but attachments can soon see to that.
One weapon that absolutely doesn’t even need attachments to improve its performance is the Streetsweeper shotgun as it already slaps.
Not only is the Streetsweeper the best Shotgun, but it’s one of the best weapons in the whole game. It has obscene range, kills in two shots in Standard modes and one in Hardcore modes. You don’t need to aim as it’s pixel accurate, you can almost hide at range because you can practically snipe with it, and it’s generally so much fun to use.
