Battlefield 2042 has incredibly high recommended system requirements, with devs saying that you need at least an RTX 3060 and Ryzen 7 2700X to play the game as its best.

If your hardware is on the lower end, you may struggle to include some of the high graphical settings Battlefield 2042 has to offer.

Field of View works differently in Battlefield 2042 than it does in Warzone. While Call of Duty’s slider affects horizontal FOV, Battlefield’s affects vertical. Thanks to CoD YouTuber JGOD, we understand that a 68 Vertical FOV in Battlefield roughly equals a 100 FOV in Call of Duty.

Future frame rendering is a solid option to include if you need to squeeze more frames out of your system, but it could give some Input Lag, so you’ll need to test it out for yourself.

And Ray Tracing will make your game look even more realistic, but the impact on frames isn’t worth it for a multiplayer experience.

If your rig meets or goes beyond the recommended specs, you’ll be able to set some high graphics settings to make the game look its best.
However, you don’t want them all set to maximum, so here’s a solid balance between High and Low settings for the best visuals and performance.

How to use NVIDIA DLSS in Battlefield 2042
If you have an NVIDIA RTX graphics card, you can go to the Advanced Video Settings and set DLSS to either Auto, Ultra-Performance, Performance, Balanced, or Quality.
NVIDIA’s DLSS (or Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology allows players with RTX graphics cards to see much higher FPS when playing Battlefield 2042 at a high resolution.
It sets the game to a lower resolution, increasing performance, and then upscales it to give similar visuals. It’s best suited for those playing at 4K, but 1440p users could also benefit.
