Getting all achievements in Baldur’s Gate 3 is quite an accomplishment, but some players feel that giving it their all to get the Jack-of-all-Trades trophy has nearly ruined their playthroughs.

Larian Studios confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 has nearly 17,000 variations for its ending, which means that there’s a long way to go for players who want to complete their trophy list. Of course, not everybody is up to the task, especially when there are quite a few experienced players who admit they hated everything they had to do to unlock them.

While getting the “Jack-of-all-Trades” achievement can be as simple as multiclassing every time a character gains a level, players gathered in a Reddit post called “Jack-of-all-Trades, the hard way. 1/10 would not repeat” to explain why this trophy is a major hindrance.

“I’m doing this achievement, except also as a solo Tactician run. Somehow, I made it to Act 2, lol,” read a comment. Trying to get every class leads to characters never fully developing powerful skills that could greatly help to face Baldur’s Gate 3 toughest bosses, even if they get each class’ unique dialogue options.

Other Baldur’s Gate 3 players agreed that trying to get the “Jack-of-all-Trades” achievement was one of the most difficult challenges no matter which difficulty setting is being used, as they describe it just leads to having a completely useless character in a party of only four members.

Despite some fans being completely over this trophy, others confessed to have really enjoyed trying to get it, despite not getting very far in the story. “I love it, honestly. It’s goofy AND challenging! Makes me feel like the lamest superhero who still manages to save the day,” described a player.

And that’s why Baldur’s Gate 3 players warn against trying for the “Jack-of-all-Trades” trophy. If you want to know more about Larian Studios’ RPG, you can check how to get Alfira’s hidden special rewards and why players are split over “tempting” Raphael deal in Act 3.
