Larian Studios’ latest hit has it all to become one of the greatest RPG titles in history. However, some members of the Baldur’s Gate 3 community are asking for a much-needed change in inventory management.

For Baldur’s Gate 3 players, nothing feels better than filling their bags with precious loot. But having so many things to collect, like weapons, armor, magic items, potions, and more, can be quite troublesome when managing the inventory.

More so, for solo players, that need to, on top of it, manage the whole party’s inventory. Some players have noticed that the UI design of the game needs some improvements, and are actively requesting Larian for a change.

This is one of the most recent posts shared on the Baldur’s Gate 3 community regarding a highly requested overhaul of the inventory system.

Reddit user ‘Cmdr_Salamander’ opened the debate by saying: “What is your ‘quality of life’ wish list for improvements?” The community mostly agreed that the inventory was the feature that needed some improvements. A distressed player expressed: “I have so much loot it hurts!”

One of the players commenting on the post suggested: “Better bag compartments. The key chain, herb, & good bags HELP, to a point. But sometimes… eesh.” And another Baldur’s Gate 3 player added: “Inventory filters.”

A member of the community, concerned with the management of companion’s loot added: “Ability to access all companion inventories in camp to swap equipment. Although if your second point came in it would be less painful!”

Tired of managing their party member’s stuff, a frustrated player said: “Inventory and party management !!! I don’t even mind having to go back to camp to swap members, but when I’m at camp I should have easy access to everyone’s inventories and character sheets.”

One of the players who also have played prior Larian titles also said: “Weirdly, Larian have never been good at inventory management. Even in DoS2 it’s terrible. It’s like their kryptonite.”

In the unlikely case, that Larian Studios hears about this and provides some QOL improvements on the inventory system, we will let you know.
