Apex Legends is a competitive battle royale that’s all about mastering every mechanic the game throws at you. From learning weapon recoil patterns to identifying the best time to use your Legend’s abilities, there’s a lot that goes into becoming a great Apex Legends player.

The best way to test your skills is the Ranked Leagues, which is the competitive battle royale ranked mode in Apex Legends.

With the Season 19 update, there are some changes coming to ranked, so for those who’d like to know what they are, here are all the details.

Promotional Trials

The most significant change coming to ranked in Apex Legends Season 19 is the addition of Promotional Trials, which are essentially a set of challenges that a player will be tasked with upon reaching the top of a rank tier. Players must complete these Promotional Trials in order to progress to the next rank, or they will be set back.

For example, once you reach the top of Gold (Gold I), you must then complete a set of challenges in order to progress to Platinum (Platinum IV).

Ranked is getting some changes in Season 19 of Apex Legends.

These challenges range from things like winning matches and getting a certain amount of kills to finishing in the top five and achieving consecutive finishes. Once we know more about the challenges, we’ll be sure to update this section with the details.

The devs claim to have implemented this new mechanic in order to ensure “a minimum skill level for each Ranked tier.”

There are also other ranked changes such as:

  • More bonuses
  • Less LP drop after provisional
  • No premade rank restrictions

No premade rank restrictions means that players can team up and play with each other no matter their rank, eliminating the need to be within a certain rank to play with those lower or higher than you.

Well, there you have it, that was every ranked change coming to Apex Legends in Season 19. If you wish to read more on Apex, check out:
