Apex Legends devs respond to frustrating glitch that gives Rampage infinite charge

Apex Legends devs have finally responded to an annoying glitch that was giving the Rampage and Sentinel unlimited charge, confirming a fix is on the way, and threatening those who use it with a ban.
The Rampage LMG and Sentinel are two of the best weapons in Apex Legends, and with good attachments, these guns can become incredibly powerful in the right hands.
Unfortunately, in early December players found an exploit that allowed both weapons to carry infinite charge, removing the need to scour for Thermite Grenades or Shield Cells to boost their stats. This glitch quickly became popular, with many using it to dominate enemies.
While the devs have already attempted to fix it once, the issue is still happening. Now, Respawn Entertainment have confirmed they are looking into it once again and may punish those who have been exploiting it.

In a tweet on January 4, Respawn Producer Josh Medina confirmed that the team behind Apex Legends were back at work after the Christmas break, and were already working on a fix for this exploit.
This will hopefully mean that a patch to address this isn’t far away, although the developer didn’t give a possible release date.
With today being the last day of our time off for the holidays… I can safely say I’m ready to get back to it and make some dope stuff come to life

On top of that, Live Balance Designer John Larson suggested that the team may look to take action against players who used the exploit.
“Infinite charge Rampage and Sentinel go hard, but in a way less fun way,” he tweeted. “While I don’t personally carry a banhammer, I’ll see what I can do…”
Took a much needed break from working on and playing Apex and instead went outside for a couple weeks. IRL graphics go hard.

Infinite charge Rampage and Sentinel also go hard, but like, in a way less fun way. While I don’t personally carry a banhammer I’ll see what we can do… pic.twitter.com/ZU4TMzlQEm
With so many players abusing this glitch, especially in Ranked, it may prove difficult to ban players for using it, as you may end up punishing a significant section of the game’s player base.
Regardless, it at least seems like Respawn are determined to fix the glitch, and hopefully, it will arrive in-game soon. In the meantime, make sure you’re using the best Apex Legends characters, and get the best settings for high FPS.
