Warzone 2 Loadout Drop Return

Warzone 2 players will finally be able to purchase a complete Loadout Drop while traversing Al Mazrah. Here’s everything you need to know about the return of Loadout Drops in Warzone 2 including their cost.

On December 20, the Warzone 2 devs announced that Loadout Drops returned to the battle royale in the form of Loadout Drop Grenades. This item can be found in Buy Stations across Al Mazrah and will deliver the traditional Warzone Custom Loadout with weapons, Perk Packages, and Equipment.

This comes one day after a December 19 update reduced the cost of Primary Loadout Weapons to $2500, down from $5000. It seems the devs are hard at work making changes to Warzone 2 before the Holidays roll around.

The devs also stated that “the continuity of this feature will depend on feedback we receive and overall impact on the Battle Royale experience.”

While it’s only a temporary feature, the chances of Loadout Drops becoming a permanent fixture in Warzone 2 are quite high given how desperate players were to see the feature return.

Warzone 2 Loadout Drop Buy Station cost

Warzone 2 Loadout Drops will be available to purchase at Buy Stations. However, Loadout Drops have a different price depending on the playlist and squad size.

Here’s a breakdown of how much Loadout Drops cost in Warzone 2:

  • Solos: $8,000
  • Duos: $16,000
  • Trios: $24,000
  • Quads: $32,000

While players will surely be pleased after a highly-requested feature has returned, the cost of Loadout Drops in Warzone 2 has seen a major increase outside of Solos. In the original Warzone, Loadout Drops would set players back $10,000 regardless of squad size.

In Warzone 2, squad size is a factor and with each member, the cost of a Loadout Drop increases by $8,000.

It’ll be interesting to monitor how this change will impact Warzone 2 moving forward, including the practicality of Strongholds. Nonetheless, we’ll keep you up to date with all of the changes expected to hit Warzone 2.
