Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have quite an assortment of cool Pokemon species, but Gimmighoul remains one of the most notorious ones. This Ghost-type creature presents three different forms, including Roaming, Chest, and its evolution: Goldengho.
But Gimmighoul can be quite tricky to find, especially considering that this species is well hidden across Paldea. Players need to roam a lot and look in several places before they can get their first Gimmighoul, and not until level 20.
But thanks to this simple trick discovered by Reddit user ‘Bane_of_Ruby,’ you can get Gimmighoul early on your adventure with ease.
There is a single location at the earliest stage of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet where Gimmighoul spawns at level 5 in its chest form, a hill over the road that leads to Los Platos, in the South Province. Just next to the place where you talk with Arven for the first time.
According to Redditor ‘Bane_of_Ruby’, you can get your Gimmighoul by following these steps:
- Face North by the road, and then turn right to the hill.
- Up the hill, you will see a Lechonk spawn.
- Wait until Lechonk is close to the border of the hill and target it by pressing (ZL).
- Throw a ball to initiate combat pressing (ZR).
- You’ll notice that your trainer is now up the hill. Run away and you can now face Gimmighoul at level 5 and catch it.
