Wild Electrode in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, some Pokemon are hard to find, especially shiny ones. But other Pokemon are hard to find in nature due to other reasons. A player learned why Electrodes in the wild are a rare sight the hard way.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have one of the most accurate, and in some cases even annoying, AIs in the whole franchise. The Pokemon that spawn in the wild group up in packs, attack you on sight, flee when you approach, and mostly behave as they should according to the Pokedex.

A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player found out why Electrode is a rare sight in the wild, and they shared it with the Reddit community.

This was posted by Reddit user Notyouraverageghost, as they said: “Oh, I’ve never seen a wild elec-.” They never managed to even approach. As you can see in the video, the Pokemon decided to go nuclear when the player turned to observe it. Near the Electrode, there was a single wild Meowth roaming, and players are now wondering if it is okay.

One of the players commenting on this post said: “Don’t worry about Meowth he still got 8 more lives left.” But another player added: “Not according to the first movie.”

Keep in mind that Electrode‘s original Pokedex entry from the Gen 1 games says: “It stores electric energy under very high pressure. It often explodes with little or no provocation.”

It is interesting to add that the Electrode exploded just after popping up a question mark, which has players cackling about its impulsive behavior: “Lol that question mark before he got blown up.” And another added: “The question mark is comedy gold.”

Thanks to this brave Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player, the mystery of why there are so few Electrodes in the wild has been solved.
