Pokemon Scarlet and Violet received an update in September, and some trainers are reporting weird occurrences that have appeared post-patch. One player has encountered a strange shiny Luxray bug that makes it look even cooler than it already did.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet received an update patch on September 13, that added many corrections and bug fixes for the Teal Mask DLC and the core games. Despite the bug fixes, many players have noticed a few strange things happening in the Pokemon games.

One player has discovered a strange bug that turns their shiny Luxray into a scribbled specimen and quickly took their discovery to Reddit, concerned about this game error. Other trainers explain that this is not the first time a bug like this has affected the Shinx evolution line.

The post by Reddit user AvrieyinKygrimm shows this strange bug that turns a shiny Luxray into a “tattooed” version of this species. A surprised player expressed: “Why is it always Luxray with broken textures?”

Another player wrote: “Why is it every time there’s a weird graphical glitch it’s always you three? entire Shinx line.” Evidently, this is not the first time that Luxray and its pre-evolutions encounter a bizarre graphic bug.

Others commenting on this wrote: “Luxray is one of the buggiest in the game since day one. Very surprised it hasn’t been fixed (no, I’m not).”

Community members have offered a lot of explanations, the most reasonable being that this is a texture-related bug, and will be fixed soon: “It has a known bug issues. But GF will fix it when they fix performance.”

Another player wrote: “I actually had this happen to my shiny Charizard the other day. Reminded me of the pattern of the clone Charizard from the first movie.”

Then, one of the users commenting offered a simple solution for the bug: “Since nobody is answering the question, short answer is that it’s a graphical bug and can be fixed by restarting or reloading.”

Game Freak haven’t explained why these bugs keep happening, but we will keep you informed if the company patches this new Luxray bug.

In the meantime, you can check out all the information about the upcoming game Detective Pikachu Returns, and all you need to know about the first Teal Mask PvP Battle event Kitakami Prologue.
