After August’s Pokemon Presents, fans of the beloved franchise are brimming with excitement about a possible Gen 5 remake. Hints related to the apparition of a newly revealed trainer are the source of the fan’s speculation.

Pokemon Presents always host a ton of information about upcoming launches, and often drop small hints for fans to pick up and speculate about possible future content. This time, during the trailer for the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC, trainers have found clues of a possible Generation 5 remake.

One of the clues is the evolution of Duraludon, called Archaludon, who is seemingly inspired by a hanging bridge.

Archaludon has not only become a meme due to its resemblance with a regular office stapler but also, the centerpiece of fans’ theories about the resurgence of Generation 5 as a possible remake.

X user ‘Aero’ exposed a theory centered on Archaludon’s resemblance with Driftveil City’s Drawbridge. Also, the trainer in the image above seems to be a character inspired by Drayden, the fierce Dragon Pokemon Gym leader from Opelucid City.

The information shown during the Pokemon Presents has led them to believe that an upcoming remake could be focused on Generation 5, which is one of the most well-liked in the franchise’s history to most Pokemon fans.

If we follow the trail that The Pokemon Company have led players to, we can see that after the remakes of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, it would make sense to follow up with a Unova region remake.

It remains to be seen if these fan theories and rumors end up being true. In the meantime, you can check out everything related to the new Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC and the upcoming Mewtwo Tera Raid battle.
