Shadow Legendary Raids are one of the toughest tasks for Pokemon Go fans but it looks like the difficulty of these battles is not the real challenge, as several players are frustrated and are calling for some necessary updates to these Raids.

When it comes to gaining an upper hand in PvP and PvE battles of Pokemon Go, Shadow Pokemon have always been an asset due to the game-changing 20% Attack boost they get from the Shadow mechanic.

Since Legendary species are some of the strongest in the game, it is a no-brainer for players to catch Shadow Legendary Pokemon and use them to dominate the meta.

That said, it looks like a large section of the Pokemon Go community isn’t happy with Shadow Legendary Raids as they vented their frustration with Niantic and demanded certain changes to the current system.

Reddit user ‘Eddiesomething’ created a post that described the Pokemon Go player’s anger with Shadow Legendary Raids as they wrote: “I think Shadow Legendary Raids should be able to Remote Pass.”

To provide more context, the OP added: “Not everyone has 5 Pokemon Go friends irl (in real life) to play with, not everyone has the free time to organize a irl Raid battle. Idk but it seems unfair that us rural players will never get a chance of getting a Shadow Lugia for example.”

The post prompted several other users to join the comment section and express the problems they’ve been facing with Shadow Raids.

Many agreed with the OP’s concern as they commented that “all Raids should be remote accessible” and that it is “annoying for rural players,” since they can’t find enough people to tackle the Raid in their location.

Others slammed Shadow Legendary Raids being limited to weekends as they mentioned that it was their “biggest gripe with Shadow Legendaries,” while adding that “weekends can be tough especially if (Raids are) only one specific weekend.”

One player appeared to be fine with battling these Raids on weekends but pointed out that they “want Shadow Raid weekends to actually follow a set schedule. Maybe something like Elite Raids where you can see which Gyms will have them a day in advance.”

With such constructive ideas flowing in the comments, many asked Pokemon Go devs Niantic to “take notes” as they called the current Shadow Legendary Raid system a bad “business decision.”

It remains to be seen if any of these desired changes are reflected in the next Shadow Legendary Raids but in the meantime, check out the current Raids schedule and Egg pool in Pokemon Go.
