Boosted Pokemon Go shiny rates were the most popular bonus in Go Fest 2023. However, some players believe that this incredible bonus may still be available in Pokemon Go after the event has ended.

Pokemon Go held a very successful Go Fest 2023 event that delighted players with Mega Rayquaza, Diancie, and new shiny Pokemon that were featured in the two-day extravaganza.

Go Fest ticket holders were able to enjoy a boosted shiny rate bonus and most of them caught multiple shinies during the event. However, some players are convinced that this bonus may still be active for them even after the global event has ended.

Pokemon Go players reportedly receive Go Fest shiny rate after the event

After Pokemon Go player ‘Ariacilon’ asked, “Are shiny rates still boosted for ticket holders or did I just pull a hat trick?” many Reddit users shared details about a similar experience, leading to many believing that the boosted shiny rate bonus is still available in the game.

When a player asked if these shinies were caught from an Incense, the OP replied: “Nope, no incense. Just clicked a few mons when I opened my phone after driving.”

Many players in the comments seemed to have the same experience after Go Fest. A player wrote, “You know I actually have caught 3 shiny Pokemon after the ticket ended too. Mine were Nidoran female, Wobbuffet, and Poochyena. Thought the same thing.”

Another added, “I was asking myself the same question today. I caught a shiny Bidoof on my walk and then the very next Pokemon I pressed on was a shiny Onix, weird!”

Even players who would want to take this with a grain of salt seem to be convinced as one comment read “I wanted to disagree, but I literally just got a shiny Poochyena after hatching a shiny Tyrogue and finding a shiny Hitmonchan, so you may be on to something.”

It seems that the chance of this happening is “1 in 134 Million” as mentioned by a player in the comments, while another added that it was “crazy” to get these Pokemon in quick succession, saying: “Part of me wouldn’t be surprised if Niantic messed something up post Go Fest.”

You should note that there is no word from Niantic regarding the Go Fest shiny bonus still being active, so it’s entirely possible these players may just be “lucky.”

We will update you if there’s any official confirmation from Pokemon Go about the shiny bonus. In the meantime, check out where to find Kangaskhan in Pokemon Go and how you can grab Zygarde Cells in the mobile game.
