June 2024 may still be months away, but Pokemon Go players are pretty sure what the Community Day for that month will feature, and it’s a fan-favorite Dragon Pokemon.

Community Day is arguably the most popular event in Pokemon Go, as it features countless spawns of a certain Pokemon with boosted shiny odds and a new, exclusive move that usually makes them better in PvP and PvE.

While fans enjoy most of these special days, some Pokemon are more sought-after than others, as they’re rare, popular, and are often a part of their teams in the mainline games.

Now, it looks like the Community Day in June 2024 is going to be one of those ‘big’ ones, as players know the identity of the featured Pokemon.

It all began when a trainer named ‘Xander_Green_Brother’ on Reddit flexed their shiny Goomy and asked, “This is rare right?” The post invited comments from several fellow players, who congratulated the OP but also had a very interesting tidbit to add.

Responding to OP’s question on shiny Goomy’s rarity in Pokemon Go, a user said, “Until Goomy CD in June, yes.” This took many players off-guard, who were curious why Goomy Community Day would happen in June.

To this, fans stated that the Community Day patterns in previous years indicate Goomy in June. “We’ve had a rare/pseudo/dragon for the past few years in June: Axew, Deino, Gible,” one trainer wrote. “Following this pattern, Goomy, Jangmo-o, and Frigibax would be up next (assuming we loop back to Galar to pick up Dreepy).”

Others agreed with this, as one put it, “They’ve had this pattern of releasing a pseudo shiny at GO Fest, then that is the one for the following June’s Comm Day. So Goomy fits that pattern for sure.”

Goomy and its eventual evolution, Goodra, are extremely popular Pokemon, and fans would love to have this Dragon on the June 2024 Community Day.

If you’re looking for a shiny Goomy and other rare Dragons like Frigibax and Jangmo-o in Pokemon Go, you can find them in the wild as well as 10km Eggs.
