Who's that Pokemon Vulpix

A Pokemon Go player noticed a weird bug during Halloween Event Part 2, and fans of the mobile Pokemon-catching game are baffled by its ridiculousness.

Pokemon Go has been ramping up on the content drop plan for 2023, and as the end of Adventures Abound season approaches its final month, players are finding more and more curiosities during the Halloween 2023 Part 2 event.

One of them found a hilarious bug that involved the new costumed Pokemon: Vulpix. It seems that something in the code of the game has caused a visual error, and now, Vulpix’s evolution appears not as Ninetales, as intended, but as an entirely different Pokemon.

Reddit user ‘chickuuuwasme’ had a hilarious reaction on seeing this mishap in Pokemon Go: “Why does my Vulpix evolve into Murkrow? Is it st***d?,” and added: “Is there a lore reason why it does that?”

A user mentioned: “Mine became Mewtwo. This seems to be a skill issue on your end tbh,” while another wrote: “ ‘Is it st***d?’ Has absolutely fucking sent me.”

The real reason behind this funny bug was explained by another player: “This and the other topic I saw just before ‘I caught this in the wild what is wrong with it?’ and it had a glitched color palette.”

It would seem that the glitch only occurs with the new costumed Pokemon from the event, and many players have reported this issue on the official NianticHelp Twitter Channel.

If you find yourself in front of this funny visual bug, do not worry, your Pokemon will evolve into its proper evolved form. We will keep you posted when new developments and news from Pokemon Go come up.
