The Pokemon Go Halloween 2023 event Part 2 is here, and trainers are excited about the debut of shiny Zorua, the new bonuses, and new opportunities to catch rare Halloween-themed Pokemon.

Pokemon Go‘s Halloween 2023 Part 2 event is in full swing, and it brought the debut of one of the most elusive Pokemon in its shiny version. Trainers are now able to catch shiny Zorua and many Halloween-themed Pokemon during this event.

Pokemon Go Halloween 2023 Part 2 event schedule

The Pokemon Go Halloween 2023 Part 2 event runs from Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 10 AM local time until Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 8 PM local time.

Trainers who want to complete all the Research tasks, Raids, and catch that elusive shiny Zorua need to keep a close look at the end date to make the most out of those six days of the Halloween-themed Pokemon Go fun.

Pokemon Go Halloween 2023 Part 2 event shiny Zorua debut

Pokemon Go players participating in the Halloween Part 2 event will be able to encounter shiny Zorua in the wild for the first time.

Zorua will take the form of your Buddy Pokemon, so it is a good idea to have a unique Pokemon as your partner, to immediately identify Zorua in the wild.

Additionally, two new costumed Pokemon are making their debut as Gengar and Pikachu will be wearing the Tricks & Treats costume. Costumed Pokemon from previous Halloween events will also be available, so keep your eyes peeled for them.

Here’s a list of all the Pokemon appearing in the wild during the Pokemon Go Halloween Part 2 event. Those marked with a (*) can also be shiny:

  • Pikachu wearing a Tricks & Treats costume*
  • Vulpix wearing a Spooky Festival costume*
  • Murkrow*
  • Misdreavus*
  • Sableye*
  • Piplup wearing a Halloween Mischief costume*
  • Drifloon*
  • Zorua*
  • Fennekin
  • Phantump*
  • Pumpkaboo wearing a Spooky Festival costume*
  • Noibat*
  • Gengar wearing a Tricks & Treats costume*

Additionally, by completing Field Research Tasks, players will have a chance to encounter the following Pokemon:

  • Mismagius
  • Galarian Yamask*
  • Phantump*
  • Greavard

Galarian Yamask and Phantump can be encountered in their shiny versions.

Costumed Pokemon Halloween Event Part 2
Trainers will find Gengar and Pikachu alongside costumed Pokemon from previous Halloween events.

Pokemon Go Halloween Part 2 event Timed Research

Pokemon Go is dropping two new Timed Research from Thursday, October 19 at 10 AM to Tuesday, October 31 at 8 PM local time.

The first Timed Research focuses on catching Ghost-type Pokemon and awards players with encounters with Greavard, Stardust, and more.

The second Timed Research featured Spiritomb. Trainers can access a Spiritomb encounter by completing the research tasks from the Timed Research and will be granted additional encounters with Ghost-type Pokemon. Spiritomb can also spawn in its shiny version during these encounters.

Pokemon Go Halloween Part 2 event Raids

The following Pokemon will be featured during the Pokemon Go Halloween Part 2 event in Raids of all difficulties:

One-Star

  • Gastly
  • Misdreavus
  • Phantump

Three-Star

  • Gengar with Tricks & Treats costume

Four-Star

  • Mega Banette

Five-Star

  • Darkrai

All these Pokemon can also be encountered in their shiny versions, and have a higher chance to be shiny than in regular encounters.

Trainers have another chance to take down and catch Darkrai in 5-Star Raids.

Pokemon Go Halloween Part 2 event bonuses

The following bonuses are active during the Pokemon Go Halloween Part 2 event:

  • Additional Candy for catching Pokemon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, or Excellent Throws.
  • Additional Candy XL for catching Pokemon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, or Excellent Throws.
  • Costumed Pokemon have a chance to give additional Candy when caught.
  • On October 31, costumed Pokemon will have a small chance to grant Rare Candy or Rare Candy XL when caught.
