Regional exclusives are quite rare in Pokemon Go, so here’s all you need on how to get Heatmor, with details on its movesets and whether it’s worth catching.

Pokemon Go has hundreds of species up for grabs, including the Paldean starters, but region exclusives like Heatmor remain some of the rarest and hardest to get in the game.

So, here’s how to get Heatmor in Pokemon Go, along with its best moveset and if it’s good in PvP and PvE battles.

When and where to catch a Heatmor

You can catch a Heatmor from the wild and 3-Star Raids during the Rivals Week event in Pokemon Go, running from May 8 at 10 AM to May 9 at 8 PM (local time).

Since Heatmor is a region-exclusive species in the mobile game, you’ll only find it in the wild in Europe, Asia, and Australia outside of the special event.

Heatmor’s movesets and when to use them

Here are all the moves Heatmor can learn in Pokemon Go:

Fast Moves

  • Fire Spin (Fire)
  • Lick (Ghost)

Charged Moves

  • Flamethrower (Fire)
  • Thunder Punch (Electric)
  • Power-Up Punch (Fighting)

Fire Spin and Flamethrower are a good duo for PvP matches in the Go Battle League and in Raids, where it can dish out decent damage figures against powerful Grass, Ice, and Steel-type opponents.

Along with these two STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) Fire-type moves, you can add Power-Up Punch as an extra Charged Move and take advantage of its guaranteed Attack buffs to win some battles.

Is it worth trying to catch Heatmor?

No, Heatmor is not a good pick in Pokemon Go due to its stats. You might find some uses in PvE thanks to its decent 204 ATK stat, but its bulk isn’t something you want to rely on in PvP.

As a Fire-type attacker, it can be an interesting and unpredictable pick that throws your opponent out of balance. Still, there are plenty of other good options like Blaziken, Reshiram, and Darmanitan.
