Plunder has been a staple game mode in Call of Duty: Warzone, but the Season 5 Reloaded update for the battle royale game saw the Warzone Plunder game mode be removed completely.

Warzone has become one of the most popular games in the world since its release in 2020, thanks to the adrenaline-fueled action its battle royale mode offers players.

However, the Plunder game was also very popular. It gave players an alternative to battle royale and offered a mode with respawns where players could more easily level up weapons or try out new loadouts.

Unfortunately for Plunder fans, the Warzone Plunder mode was removed from the game with the arrival of the Season 5 Reloaded update and replaced.

It is not uncommon for Raven Software to add and remove different kinds of game modes and playlists during seasons, such as the Payload game mode.

This was the case with the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update, as it took out Plunder and replaced it with the new Clash game mode.

This Clash game mode pits two teams of 50 players against each other in a massive Team Deathmatch experience.

With Plunder being a staple game mode for Call of Duty: Warzone, it is highly unlikely that it is gone for good and is likely just taking a break to let the new Clash mode get the spotlight when it comes to alternatives to battle royale during Season 5 Reloaded.

It remains to be seen how long Warzone Plunder will be removed from the Call of Duty game, but we will be sure to update you with the latest information when it becomes available.
