Star Wars Outlaws takes you to many different planets across its campaign, but how long will it take you to beat the game? Here’s everything you need to know about how many hours you’ll sink into in Star Wars Outlaws, whether you’re focusing on the main story or completing every objective.

Just like the Jedi series before it, Star Wars Outlaws is a planet-hopping adventure as you look to help Kay Vess plan the ultimate heist between Episodes V and VI. But, with so many different worlds to explore and factions to meet, you might be wondering how many hours it will take to see and do everything.

Here’s how long it takes to beat Star Wars Outlaws’ main story and how much extra side content there is.

How many hours to beat Star Wars Outlaws

Star Wars Outlaws takes around 25 to 30 hours to beat if you stick to the main story and don’t engage with many of the side activities. Meanwhile, if you want to see and do everything the game has to offer, this will take you closer to 60 hours.

Developer Massive Entertainment made the decision that Outlaws should feel big in scope, but still manageable to complete for the average person.

In an interview with VGC, Creative Director Julian Gerighty said: “Very, very early on, we decided this is going to be a 25, 30 hours golden path adventure, 50 hours, 60 hours for completionists, and that is, for a guy with a family and a job, still a fair amount of time.”

He went on to add that keeping the length of the campaign down allowed the team to hone in on each element and make it as deep as possible.

“But it’s not Assassin’s Creed epic 200 hours’ worth of gameplay, so that allows us to really focus on the detail,” Gerighty continued. “It allows us to focus, maybe with a smaller team, on executing something that is manageable.”

That’s not to say there isn’t still plenty to find on the five unique planets in Star Wars Outlaws. Each one is packed with main story missions, side objectives, minigames, and plenty of fights to get into with various factions – including the Empire itself.

Star Wars Outlaws is gearing up to be one of the biggest games of 2024 when arrives on August 30. However, you can get a headstart on the camping by pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition.
