NBA 2K Mobile Season 6 is getting closer to its release. According to the dev team, this new edition of the popular NBA mobile game will come with an exciting array of new features primarily focused on online gameplay.

While they haven’t explained all the details in depth yet, 2K Games have responded to some questions regarding what will happen to your NBA 2K Mobile Season 5 team, when Season 6 will be released, and how to play it.

NBA 2K Mobile Season 6 expected release date

There is still no exact release date for NBA 2K Mobile Season 6. However, it’s expected to arrive on all devices sometime after the tip-off of the NBA 2023/24 season on October 24, 2023.

In addition, when the devs release NBA 2K Mobile Season 6, players will be able to download it from the App Store or Play Store as an update. If you’re a current Season 5 player, you will need to update it from your device’s store.

NBA 2K Mobile Season 6 cover star

2K Games revealed that Donovan Mitchell will be the cover star for Season 6 of NBA 2K Mobile. This means that the Cleveland Cavaliers star will replace Jayson Tatum, and it won’t be LeBron James or Michael Jordan as initially speculated.

What happens to Season 5 team in NBA 2K Mobile Season 6?

Once you have downloaded the new NBA 2K Mobile Season 6 update, you will carry over your Season 5 team as they’ll be playable in all Season 6 game modes. Additionally, you’ll carry over all your coins, consumables, and Gear you have obtained in Season 5.

NBA 2K Mobile Season 6 new features

Finally, the devs have announced some new features to introduce in NBA 2K Mobile Season 6. One of the most important changes is the addition of three new card tiers to the game: Garnet, Cobalt, and Zircon.

In addition, 2K Games confirmed a revamped version of the Domination game mode: “We can also confirm that the new version of Dom is going to be awesome.”
