Majora's Mask Tears of the Kingdom

Players can equip Majora’s Mask as an armor piece in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so here’s how to get the iconic item that can be difficult to locate.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can alter Link’s attributes with armor sets and weapons. While there are plenty of new items and armor sets for players to discover in TOTK, it’s the items that reference past titles in the storied franchise that tend to excite players the most.

The iconic Majora’s Mask is one of these sought-after armor pieces that players will be eager to get their hands on in Tears of the Kingdom. The creepy item from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will provide players with a dose of nostalgia, all while being incredibly useful in TOTK.

Here’s our guide on how to get Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom.

Where is Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom?

Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom is a reward for defeating the five Lynels in the Floating Coliseum.

To challenge and defeat the five Lynels and get your hands on Majora’s Mask, you’ll have to visit the Floating Coliseum in the Depths. To get there, head north of the Great Abandoned Central Mine.

How to defeat Lynels in TOTK’s Floating Coliseum

The five Lynels are standing in your way from claiming Majora’s Mask as your own piece of armor. The good news is that you’ll be fighting one at a time, but your opponents’ difficulty will vary.

To make quick work of the Lynels, we recommend equipping an armor and weapon combination that maximizes your damage output such as the Barbarian or Phantom armor with the Master Sword.

The last of the five Lynels is the trickiest as it dons armor which you must remove if you want your attacks to be effective against the beast. You’ll want to switch to a two-handed weapon to destroy the armor, which means some variety in your weapon inventory is key.

Once the armor is off, the last Lynel will be left exposed and we recommend attacking its head as it uses its flame attack. You can mount it and pummel it with melee attacks, before jumping off quickly before it recovers.

After defeating the fifth and final Lynel, make your way to the chest waiting for you in the center of the Floating Coliseum to secure Majora’s Mask.

Majora’s Mask is a rare find in TOTK.

What does Majora’s Mask do in Tears of the Kingdom?

Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom will allow Link to increase his evasiveness and overall ability to avoid enemies.

Link can equip Majora’s Mask as a piece of armor and it works similarly to the Moblin and Bokoblin masks in TOTK. While you explore areas with enemies lurking, Majora’s Mask will make it harder for enemies to detect your presence.

Therefore, Majora’s Mask is an incredibly useful item that will allow you to avoid enemies when you’re not looking for a fight and want to sneak past them with ease.
