The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features a wide array of armor sets and clothes for Link to wear during his new adventure. The Archaic Tunic is one of the armor sets that players can get very early in the game. This also means it’s not really powerful, but it does give Link an iconic look previously seen in the trailers.

For those looking to give Link some decent protection for the first few hours of the game, here’s how to get the Archaic Tunic in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Archaic Tunic location

Zelda players can find the Archaic Tunic in the Ponside Cave in Tears of the Kingdom. The cave is located on the southwestern side of the Great Sky Island, which is where your adventure begins.

To get the Archaic Tunic, you need to go to the north entrance of the cave. If you have trouble getting to the Ponside Cave, we recommend heading east from the In-Isa Shrine right after getting the Fuse ability. You can see the exact location on the map below.

Once inside the cave, you’ll find some enemies in your way. After defeating the Bubbulfrog, head to the northern exit to find the chest containing the Archaic Tunic. If you decide to take a different route, you’ll need to face a few Constructs first before reaching the cave entrance by the lake.

The Archaic Tunic gives Link 1 Armor, which is better than nothing in this tutorial portion of the game.
