The Game Awards 2022 saw a host of the industry’s most illustrious and popular game development studios in attendance as some of this year’s biggest games received honors for their incredible work. Here are all of The Game Awards 2022 winners and a sneak peek at Modern Warfare 2’s Raids.

The most distinguished award ceremony in the video game industry returned in December 2022. This year was an extremely memorable year for video games as Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, and Modern Warfare 2 all experienced successful launches.

The Game Awards 2022 was the ninth edition of the ceremony hosted by Geoff Keighley, who revealed numerous world premiers through exclusive game trailers, as well as the winners of huge awards such as Game of the Year.

The Game Awards 2022 winners

There was an abundance of awards handed out during the course of The Game Awards 2022 award ceremony, but two games, in particular, stood out both before, during, and after the event.

God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring have been the biggest games of 2022, generating copious amounts of hype which each seemed to live up to through gameplay, design, and narrative direction. Both these games swept the floor, receiving awards from multiple nominations.

Modern Warfare 2 Raids reveal

As well as various other exclusive reveals, The Game Awards 2022 also gave Modern Warfare 2 fans their first look at the new Raids mode coming in the Season 1 Reloaded update.

The trailer gave players a taste of what the first-ever MW2 Raid will entail. The Raid is called Atomgrad, and it will see players take control of Campaign characters Price, Farah, and Gaz as they infiltrate an underground enemy base with plenty of opportunity to experience the game’s underwater mechanics.
