Infinity Ward have already revealed what we can expect in the Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded mid-season update, so here’s its start date and everything we know including Raids and the return of a classic map.

Modern Warfare 2 has smashed records and given players a brand-new campaign and multiplayer to enjoy. That said, as we enter the game’s first season, many are looking forward to the content that awaits in the future, such as Warzone 2, the Tarkov-esque DMZ, and Destiny-style Raids.

While Modern Warfare 2 will deliver a new Battle Pass system, it will offer the same content that CoD fans know and love, bringing new weapons, maps, modes, and more with each major update. Season 1 kicks off on November 16 but the devs have already announced Season 1 Reloaded, the mid-season update.

Here’s everything we know about Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded including the start date, the return of Shipment, and Raids.

Modern Warfare 2’s Season 1 Reloaded update will go live on December 14, which is roughly halfway through the game’s first season.

Alongside new content for Modern Warfare 2, Season 1 Reloaded also brings Warzone 2’s “first post-launch update,” likely ironing out any major bugs ahead of the holidays.

Shipment arrives in Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded

Infinity Ward revealed that the two new maps for Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 will be Shoot House and Shipment. While Shoot House arrives with the season’s launch, Shipment will be arriving with the mid-season Reloaded update.

Despite being a classic map, it does seem that the community is somewhat fed up with seeing this map be remade every year, even if it means they can get their camo challenges done quicker.

Many are hoping for classic maps such as Highrise or Terminal for later seasons, as these appear in Warzone’s Al Mazrah map, but there’s no guarantee yet.

New weapon & Operators for Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded

The Chimera Assault Rifle will arrive in Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded for multiplayer and Warzone. This new weapon is in the Bruen Ops Platform, which is the same as launch weapons the M13B and the BAS-P.

As well as a new AR, players will also be able to get their hands on a new Operator in the mid-season update known as Klaus. Not much is known about Klaus in terms of his appearance, however, he is described as “A member of Denmark’s Elite Special Forces.”

It also seems that Klaus has some sort of “natural night vision” called his “scotopic vision.”

As well as Klaus, players will also be able to get their hands on Gaz, who will be arriving as a playable Operator in the mid-season update. Check out our guide on how to get Gaz in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 for more information.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Reloaded brings Raids

Players will finally be able to experience Raids in Modern Warfare 2, as this new co-op PvE mode will drop alongside the Season 1 Reloaded update.

We don’t have many official details about Raids yet, but it sounds like the devs are going for something similar to Destiny. The blog describes how the mode will involve “strategic thinking, puzzle-solving and most importantly bouts of intense co-op combat action,” while also “Continuing the story of the Modern Warfare II Campaign.”

In the meantime, be sure to check out how the progression and Prestige system will work in MW2 and Warzone 2.
