Halo Infinite is the next epic sci-fi FPS game from the goliath that is Microsoft. It is has a lot of hype and excitement, but is 343 Industries’ new title set to have the most expensive budget for a video game ever?

Few franchises are guaranteed to create a genuine buzz and garner a ton of coverage, both mainstream and otherwise. Halo is one of them, and the next game in the series – Halo Infinite – could be the biggest one yet.

343 Industries has already said that Halo Infinite will feature open-world elements, another juicy campaign, and that it’s definitely out in 2021.

With the scale of the project and scope of the game’s vision bigger than ever, it’s got many people wondering if Halo Infinite is going to have the biggest budget ever for a video game.

Microsoft has been quite secretive over the game’s purported budget, but the latest rumors suggested that it is reportedly going to be the biggest ever.

Gfinity reported that Xbox Dynasty covered the question back in mid-2020 when they said the budget for Halo Infinite was going to end up in the region of $500 million!

For Halo Infinite, the $500 million figure will take into account salaries, advertising, marketing, testing, delays, licenses, and more.

We should note that the Xbox Dynasty report was rebuked by Frankie, a worker for 343 Industries, and claimed that this budget figure is not accurate.

Many games are now eclipsing $200 and even $300 million dollars for their budgets, so it would not be a surprise if we do get official confirmation that Halo Infinite broke, or was near, the $500 million mark.

As usual with strong rumors like this, we would urge you to take the information with a pinch of salt until Microsoft makes the numbers official.
