To get tools in No Rest for the Wicked players need to loot them from chests, enemies, or buried treasure. It is also possible to buy basic tools from the Blacksmith and later on craft them in the Anvil and Workbench.

At first, you can equip up to four tools at once, but you can unlock extra tool slots when you progress down the adventure.

In No Rest for the Wicked you can find The Woodcutter’s Axe right up the road where you first spawn after the shipwreck scene. There you will find a Copper Woodcutter’s Axe lying on the floor next to some barrels.

The Pickaxe in No Rest for the Wicked can be found inside Mariner’s Keep. Turn to the left to reach the northwest tower. Climb down the stairs and look for a window with a wooden balcony. In a body there, you will find the Copper Pickaxe.

The Fishing Rod in No Rest for the Wicked can be found southwest of Mariner’s Keep, down the beach. Next to the water and near the drowned corpse, you’ll find the Pine Fishing Rod.

Where to find Shovel in No Rest for the Wicked

The Shovel in No Rest for the Wicked can be found by opening the Storage Room with the Storage Room Key. To get the key, keep going down the stairs where you found the Pickaxe and climb down the wooden ladder. You’ll find the Storage Room Key inside a corpse that’s stashed in a small passage to the right of the ladder.

Now keep moving northeast of Mariner’s Keep, until you are next to the Gate. Hidden next to the Gate Watchtower is the Storage Room, open it and pick up the Copper Shovel from a chest inside.

How to use tools in No Rest for the Wicked

To use tools in No Rest for the Wicked, players need to use the interaction button (E on PC, Y on Xbox) to extract resources. Here’s how to use every tool in the game:

  • Woodcutter’s Axe: To extract wood from trees, approach the tree you want to cut and hold E/Y until it’s toppled down.
  • Pickaxe: Stand next to a vein and hold the interaction button E/Y until the vein breaks.
  • Shovel: Approach the cracks in the ground and hold the interaction button E/Y until the treasure chest pops out of the ground.
  • Fishing Rod: Approach a pond where fish are jumping and press E/Y to start the fishing mini-game. Push E/Y once more when the fish bites the bait to get it.
