The Division 3 has officially entered the “development” phase, and Massive Entertainment confirmed who’s going to be the Executive Producer for the project.

Ubisoft confirmed what most players already suspected, as they explained that The Division 3 has entered its development phase. Massive Entertainment will be the branch studio in charge of the third iteration of the Shooter/Survival game.

Massive Entertainment took to X to declare that Julian Gerighty has been appointed as Executive Producer and overseer of The Division brand.

It turns out, one of the projects he will be leading will be The Division 3. Massive is already actively recruiting for several positions, including AI Programmers, Game Designers, VFX Artists, and more.

Gerighty is responsible for games like The Division 2, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, The Crew, and most recently, Star Wars Outlaws. Gerighty will be directing the team efforts from their studios located in Malmö, Sweden.

There’s not a great deal of information about The Division 3 as of now, and with the studio currently focusing on Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, we will likely need to be patient when it comes to any upcoming announcements related to the game.

This comes as part of Ubisoft’s plan to reinforce audience interest in the franchise, alongside the mobile game Tom Clancy’s The Division: Resurgence and The Division: Heartland. If more information about The Division 3 comes up, we will keep you in the loop.

In the meantime, check out the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0, and everything you need to know about Modern Warfare 2 Season 6.
