Will Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown be on Steam?

Almost 14 years since the last major entry, Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia series is finally about to see a new release with the launch of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on January 18. From the acclaimed The Sands of Time to the last major installment, The Forgotten Sands, all the recent Prince of Persia games are on Steam.

But the times have changed since the series’ last outing. While at one time Ubisoft would release their games on Steam at launch, most of their recent titles aren’t available on Valve’s storefront. Two of their biggest confirmed releases for 2024, Skull and Bones and Star Wars Outlaws, are not coming to Steam, at least not on day one. 

So, has Prince of Persia changed the course for Ubsioft? Here are all the details on The Lost Crown’s availability on Steam. 

Is Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on Steam?

No, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is not available on Steam. It is exclusive to Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store, like most recent Ubisoft releases.

However, if you go by the publisher’s trends in the last few years, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be available on Steam one day.

While some of their more recent releases, like Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, aren’t yet available on Steam, their several-year-old blockbusters, like Far Cry 6 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, launched on the storefront two years after their initial release date.

Ubisoft hasn’t yet made any official announcements, but it’ll hopefully find its way onto Steam sometime later. We’ll update this article if there are any developments.
