Is Genshin Impact cross-platform? PC, PlayStation & mobile crossplay status
Genshin Impact is a fantasy-based adventure available on several platforms. While the game is out on PlayStation, PC, iOS, and Android, you may be wondering whether it has cross-platform support or not. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Genshin Impact is known for its old-school RPG-style gameplay that is anime-themed and gives you an immersive adventure to get lost in. The game’s player base is increasing day by day, as those who want a break from high-octane battle royales venture over.
Since its initial launch in 2020, the developers have launched several updates as they keep releasing new content quite often. The game is out now on PlayStation, PC, iOS, and Android.
However, a pretty common question that comes to mind is if the game supports crossplay or not. Here’s everything you need to know about Genshin Impact’s cross-platform feature.
Is Genshin Impact cross-platform?
Yes, Genshin Impact supports cross-platform gameplay across all platforms. The game is playable on PC, Mobile (Android and iOs), GeForce Now, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Moreover, the game also supports cross-progression which means that your progress and characters will be seamlessly transitioned between these devices so you won’t have to start over again. All you need to do is login into your miHoYo account on these platforms and you will easily get your progress shared across them.
However, to access the game’s multiplayer feature and play with your friends, you need to reach Adventure Rank 16 as this will enable the multiplayer co-op feature. You can then play the game’s multiplayer mode with your friends and others across several platforms as well.
Although the game is available on several devices, the quality of the game and frame rates might differ which can affect the gameplay experience. The story and graphics are a delight and the optimization of the game across devices is commendable.
How to turn on crossplay in Genshin Impact
As of now, there is no setting by default to toggle crossplay in Genshin Impact. The game supports crossplay by default, as you can play the game with your friends in Multiplayer mode.
All you need to do is add one another using your UID which can be found at the bottom-right corner of your screen. However, both of you need to be at Adventure Rank 16 to unlock the game’s multiplayer co-op feature.
So the next time you play Genshin Impact on any device, don’t worry about the platform you’re playing while flaunting your Elemental Mastery skills. Just jump in the game, join in with your friends and listen to Paimon.
