HoYoverse have outlined everything we can expect in the upcoming Genshin Impact version 4.5 update, including a new third limited banner. Here is everything you need to know about the version 4.5.

Version 4.4 is nearing its end, which means Genshin Impact will get another major update soon in version 4.5. It doesn’t appear to be as big of a patch as version 4.4, but it’ll nonetheless contain plenty of surprises including Chiori in the limited banner.

Other than Chiori, the headline is the third new limited banner that features characters like Albedo and many weapons. It was already leaked, but now we have the full picture following the Special Program livestream for version 4.5.

Genshin Impact 4.5 update release date

Genshin Impact version 4.5 will be released on March 13. This is based on the game’s current schedule for a new patch every six weeks.

With version 4.4 starting on January 31, it is likely that March 13 is the release date for version 4.5.

Version 4.5 of Genshin Impact is confirmed to feature Chiori as a limited-banner character. Other characters that’ll be part of version 4.5 are Neuvillette, Itto, and Kazuha.

Here is a phase-wise distribution for version 4.5:

Phase 1:
- Characters: Chiori and Itto.
- Weapons: Uraku Misugiri (Sword) and Redhorn Stonethresher (Claymore).
Phase 2:
- Characters: Neuvillette and Kazuha.
- Weapons: Tome of the Eternal Flow (Catalyst) and Freedom-Sworn (Sword).

This is Neuvillette’s second banner in Genshin Impact.

Outside of these, there will also be a third banner called Chronicled Wish featuring multiple characters as well as weapons, all of which can be targeted with a similar path system as the weapon banner. Here are all the characters and weapons coming to the Chronicled Wish in version 4.5:

Genshin Impact version 4.5 quest and story details

Version 4.5 of Genshin Impact is one of the lighter patches, with no meaningful story additions, and will also feature no expansions.

However, we’ll get a Story Quest for Chiori and a Hangout Quest for Lynette. But that’d be pretty much it in terms of a new story outside of the event ones.

Genshin Impact version 4.5 QoL updates

Like every recent patch before it, version 4.5 will also add multiple QoL changes to Genshin Impact. Here are all the QoL changes coming with the 4.5 update:

A new in-game training guide feature that’ll provide details on your character build, whether there is room for improvement (and where), or if you’ve already reached the “optimal” level.
A new graphical setting for “Highest” has been added to the game.
Required talent material can be seen in the talent interference menu.
