If you’ve spent hours crafting your Dragon’s Dogma 2 character only to have its face get obscured by a helmet, here’s whether you can hide helmets in the game.

Helmets, like other armor pieces, in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are useful bits of gear that provide protection against damage along with various elemental resistances. But for all the advantages of equipping headgear, they can get in the way of you appreciating your Arisen’s appearance.

The game does feature some stylish helms that blend well with armor sets, but it’s ideal to have the option to hide the helmet while retaining the stat boosts it provides.

With this in mind, here’s whether it’s possible to hide helmets in the game.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Can you hide helmet?

No, there’s no option to hide your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2 at the moment. You can work around this by finding a helmet that covers only a portion of the Arisen’s face, or unequip headgear entirely. If you’re dead set on wanting to see your character’s face at all times, then removing the armor piece is the way to go.

But if you’re willing to compromise, we suggest you continue wearing a helmet as you’re likely to find some really attractive pieces as you progress further into the game.

The option to hide the helmet was also missing in 2012’s Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Players hoping for its inclusion in the sequel will sadly have to make do without it.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to remove helmet

Removing armor pieces takes away the resistance they provide.

To remove your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2, follow these steps:

Open up the pause menu
Head into Items, and navigate to the Head Armor tab
Select your currently equipped helmet and hit the Remove option
