Here’s everything you need to know about Monikers in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Monikers in Dragon’s Dogma 2 explained

Monikers are predetermined names that players can use to name their Arisen in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This is an extra safety measure, in case some players decide to use an inappropriate name for their character or Pawns in the game.

Despite players being able to enter any name they want, no matter how inappropriate it is, the game will eventually replace it with the Moniker if they deem it to be necessary.

Do note that you can definitely name your character whatever you want. However, if Capcom finds it to be offensive or inappropriate, it will replace your custom name with the Moniker you have chosen for your character in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

As mentioned earlier, you will have to select your Moniker from a list of predefined names that Capcom has put out for you, starting from A to Z. After your custom name, simply select your choice of Moniker and you will be good to go.

However, keep in mind that you cannot change your Moniker once you have selected it during character creation in Dragon’s Dogma 2. As of writing, there is no official way to change Monikers in between your playthroughs.
