Dragon’s Dogma 2: Best Daggers for early game

The Stilettos in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are a great early-game Dagger for the Thief Vocation, as they can be purchased as soon as you reach Venworth for a small price of 5,300 Gold from Roderick’s Smithy.

These Daggers may not have the most incredible stats, but for your first load of hours taking on missions in and around the capital, they’re perfect, especially if you upgrade them.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Best Daggers for mid-game

As for the mid-game in Dragon’s Dogma 2, Thieves will want to purchase the Spite Daggers from Celeste’s Smithy in Respoint Check Town for a fairly hefty price of 27,800 Gold. While these are much more expensive than the Stilettos, they are well worth the asking price, as they’re a huge upgrade in strength: 162.

Once you reach Battahl in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you may want to pick up the Battahli Biters for 36,200 Gold from Awaran’s Arms in Bakbattahl, as these are another great mid-game option, with more Strength than the Spite in exchange for less Knockdown Power.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Best endgame Daggers

Lastly, we’ve chosen the Dragon’s Vein Daggers as the best endgame weapon for a Thief in Dragon’s Dogma 2. These Daggers pack a huge punch and are well worth the 75,000 Gold in the Bay Wayside Shrine shop once you reach the latter end of your playthrough.

Best Thief Weapon Skills in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The best Weapon Skills for a Thief in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are:

  • Biting Wind
  • Enkindled Blades
  • Ensnared
  • Helm Splitter

These are great skills for an all-around strong Thief build in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Biting Winds keeps you light on your feet, avoiding attacks while also dealing damage. Enkindled Blades allows you to attack with fire, which is great for those weak against the element.

Ensnared helps drop monsters to the ground, allowing you to get more damage off. And, lastly, Helm Splitter is a perfect option for attacking flying and bigger enemies, as it sees you jump into the air and attack.

Eventually, you’ll get upgraded versions of these skills, which we more than recommend using.
