How to unlock Baby Yoda back bling in Fortnite Season 5

The Mandalorian has arrived as the headline addition to the game in Fortnite Season 5’s Battle Pass, and if you want to have his adorable companion Grogu floating beside him, here’s how you can do it.

Galactus’ attack on the Fortnite island may be over, but the Zero Point has been exposed in Season 5, and Jonesy has called in the best bounty hunters in the universe to keep everyone on the island.

One of those hunters is none other than The Mandalorian, who’s Disney+ show has quickly propelled him up the ranks to become one of the Star Wars franchise’s most recognizable and popular characters. He’s not the most beloved cast member on the show though, with ‘The Child’, affectionally known as Baby Yoda, becoming an internet sensation.

With Mando now included in the Season 5 Battle Pass, some players have wondered how they can get Grogu to float alongside him in his basket, and if you’re still not sure, we have everything you need to know.

How to unlock ‘The Child’ back bling

The good news is that unlocking Baby Yoda as a back bling isn’t technically difficult or require any specific challenges to be completed. The bad news is that it’s going to take you a lot of time and demand you put some serious hours into Season 5.

That’s because the Baby Yoda back bling can only be unlocked when you reach Tier 100 on the paid version of the Battle Pass. Once you cross that barrier, you’ll be rewarded with a special Mandalorian skin featuring his full Beskar armor, and The Child as a back bling.

Of course, there is a short-cut should you choose to take it. If grinding doesn’t sound like your thing, you can skip tiers by spending your V-Bucks, but it will be a costly method to get Grogu.

Once you have unlocked the back bling, you simply need to go to your inventory and equip it, and the next time you jump into a match you’ll have the company of Baby Yoda, who will float along behind you.

Grogu comes with some cool animations that he’ll perform throughout matches, including standing up from his bed and having a look around at his new environment, and drinking from his cup as seen in Season 2 of the show.
