How to defeat Fortnite’s Mandalorian and claim the Mythic Items

Liam Mackay

The Mandalorian is now a boss inside Fortnite, so you can defeat him and take his rifle and jetpack for yourself.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 has begun with a crossover with the insanely popular Star Wars TV Series ‘The Mandalorian.’

The tier one reward for purchasing Fortnite’s Battle Pass will give you the Mandalorian as a skin, and progressing through the tiers will allow players to upgrade his armor and have Baby Yoda as a pet.

That’s not all, however. You can actually find the Mandalorian himself on the Fortnite map, carrying Mythic Items ripe for the taking.

Here’s where to find the Star Wars character, and how to get his equipment for yourself.

Finding and defeating The Mandalorian

To find and defeat the Mandalorian, you need to head to the South-East of the new POI ‘Colossal Coliseum.’ As you float in, you’ll see his crashed ship, The Razor Crest. He never strays too far from his ship, so keep an eye out for him around here.

Unlike previous bosses, the Mandalorian isn’t too difficult to take down. Land nearby and loot some weapons and building materials before going for the attack. We recommend taking the high ground through natural cover or by building.

Keep shooting him with your weapons and he’ll eventually fall, dropping the Amban Sniper Rifle and The Mandalorian’s Jetpack. You can then use these powerful items throughout the duration of the match.

To summarize:

  1. Land near the crashed Razor Crest ship
  2. Loot for weapons while keeping an eye out for other players
  3. Reach high ground to avoid The Mandalorian’s shots
  4. Keep shooting him until he is eliminated
  5. Collect and use the dropped Mythic Items

The Mandalorian is currently the only known boss in Season 5 of Fortnite, so expect this to a highly-populated area. Not just from players wanting to use the Mythic Items, but players coming to visit this fan-favorite landmark.
