Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 is in full swing and players have lots to do. The new Battle Pass features a Transformers crossover and the map changes still have a few surprises in store. Players looking to unlock Quest Rewards are tackling Week 3 of the Weekly Quests and one of the challenges requires them to reveal enemy players or characters.

If you’re wondering how to do that in Fortnite, we’ve got you covered with all the details.

How to reveal enemy players or characters in Fortnite

Fortnite players have three different ways to reveal – or mark – enemy players and characters in Fortnite to complete the Week 3 Quest:

  • Claiming a Capture Point.
  • Using the unvaulted Flare Gun.
  • Shooting enemy players or characters with the Shadow Tracker Pistol.

While some NPCs you can hire have the ability to mark opponents, this won’t help you progress through the Weekly Quest from Week 3, so keep that in mind.

Epic Games have unvaulted the Flare Gun in Chapter 4 Season 3, so you’ll be able to find it in regular Chests or via the Tracker’s Armory Augment. The only problem with this method is you won’t be able to mark enemy players covered in mud.

How to claim a Capture Point in Fortnite

To claim a Capture Point in Fortnite, players need to follow these steps:

  1. Head to a Capture Point.
  2. Get inside the capture area marked with a glowing circle.
  3. Wait until the flag reaches the top of the pole.
  4. Once you claim the Capture point, you’ll see enemy players, NPCs, Chests, and Ammo Boxes marked in the vicinity.

Some Capture Points can get crowded, so you might have to defeat some players while claiming them. It’s important to note that you won’t be able to reveal enemy players if there are none in that location.

Where to find the Shadow Tracker in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

The Shadow Tracker is an Exotic Weapon that Fortnite players can get through different methods. Here’s how to get the Shadow Tracker Pistol in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3:

  • Buy it from Peely, the NPC located at Shady Stilts, for 400 Gold Bars.
  • Get it from Holo Chests using two Keys.
  • Activating the Exotic Grab Bag Augment in a match.
  • Activating the Tracker’s Armory Augment in a match.

Holo Chest contents vary in different matches, so you can’t know exactly where to find the Shadow Tracker. Just make sure you have two Keys when you do. Here’s a map of every Holo Chest location in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 to help you:

Holo Chests will appear in your mini-map if you have at least one Key.

Also, note that the Exotic Grab Bag Augment gives you a random Exotic Weapon, so you have no way of knowing what you’re going to get. The Tracker’s Armory Augment, on the other hand, gives you the Shadow Tracker alongside a Flare Gun.

Once you get the Shadow Tracker, all you need to do is shoot enemy players or characters to mark them. You have to reveal a total of 10 players or characters to complete the Weekly Quest, so you’ll probably need to use more than one method.

And there you have it! That’s how to reveal enemy players or characters in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3. For more Fortnite content, check some of our other guides:
