How to get a Lightsaber in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2
Star Wars is back in Fortnite as part of May 4, and Epic Games have unvaulted Lightsabers. If you want to get your hands on this powerful Star Wars weapon then here’s what you need to do.
Fortnite players have been spoiled when it comes to crossovers in Chapter 4 Season 2. Following the arrival of Attack on Titan and Resident Evil characters, fans can now celebrate May 4 with another Star Wars collaboration.
This time around, Epic Games have doubled down on the prequel trilogy, bringing Anakin Skywalker and Padme to the game, along with Find the Force Quests to unlock Darth Maul. But no Star Wars crossover would be complete with the return of Lightsabers.
Players will have to work a little harder to find the iconic weapons in Chapter 4, so here’s how to get a Lightsaber in Fortnite.
How to get a Lightsaber in Fortnite
Fortnite players can get hold of Lightsaber by entering a Rift Gate, marked by a Lightsaber icon on the map. Head to the right location and you’ll find a hologram of either Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Darth Maul.
Interacting with them will open up a Rift Gate to walk, and after a few seconds, you’ll emerge holding a shiny new Lightsaber with a powerful Force ability to wield.
We’ve got a step-by-step guide on how to get a Lightsaber in Fortnite:
- Look for a Lightsaber icon on the map.
- Approach the hologram of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Darth Maul.
- Interact with them and press “Accept.”
- Walk through the Rift Gate when it appears.
- After a few seconds, emerge with a Lightsaber and a new Force ability.
The color of the Lightsaber you get hold of will depend on which character oversaw your training. Anakin grants a blue Lightsaber, Obi-Wan’s is green, while Darth Maul’s is red.
How to use Lightsabers in Fortnite
Once you’ve got your hands on a Lightsaber, you can press the ‘shoot’ button to strike enemies with it in melee combat. You can also block attacks by holding down the ‘aim’ button.
While you’ll have to get up close and personal to do big damage with a Lightsaber, they’re ideal for deflecting incoming fire while you close the gap on an enemy. After a little bit of practice, you’ll be hacking and slashing like a true Jedi.
