The Inkquisitor boss using Pumpkin Launcher in Fortnite

It’s officially Halloween in Fortnite with the Fortnitemares update now live. Along with the new modes and Howler Claws item, players can help defeat the Inkquisitor boss to complete a Quest and get the Mythic Suppressed SMG. Here’s how to find and defeat the Inkquisitor in Fortnite.

The Fortnitemares update brought Halloween to Fortnite, including the Zero Build Horde Rush LTM, Howler Claws weapon, and even more skins such as Rick and Morty’s Queen Summer and Mr Meeseeks, as well as The Evil Dead’s Ash Williams.

It wouldn’t be a Fortnite event without Quests to complete, and players can complete both the Fortnitemares and Escape Room Quests for free Halloween rewards. You’ll need to find and help defeat the Inkquisitor boss for these Quests, so here’s how.

Who is Fornite’s Inkquisitor boss?

The Inkquisitor is a new Fortnite boss who arrived with the 22.20 Fortnitemares update. Helping to defeat the Inkquisitor will complete one of the Forenitemares Quests, and they’ll drop their Mythic Suppressed SMG and a Pumpkin Launcher once defeated.

Where to find the Inkquisitor in Fortnite

Fortnite’s Inkquisitor boss can be found at the Grim Gables POI which can be found south-east of Chromejam Junction.

You’ll need to head underneath the house to the mine shafts and stand in the middle of the circle of braziers to summon the Inkquisitor and fight them.

How to defeat the Inkquisitor in Fortnite

The Inkquisitor is a pretty straightforward fight but you’ll need to stock up on Shields and high-damage weapons before taking on the new Fortnite boss.

We recommend ensuring your Shield is at 100 before stepping into the circle to summon the Inkquisitor as they’ll be firing Pumpkin Launchers and throwing Firefly Jars at you. You’ll also need to watch out for the zombies they’ll summon to attack you.

Just keep your distance avoiding the explosions and fire, and you’ll soon whittle down the Inkquisitor’s chunky health bar.
