There’s plenty for Fortnite players to get excited about right now, with Chapter 5 Season 1 bringing the new Rocket Racing playlist as well as a Mincecraft-inspired LEGO mode that has become an instant hit.
But that’s not all, as Chapter 5 Season 1 arrived just time in for Christmas, which means the annual Winterfest event has returned. The holiday celebration was first introduced back in 2019 and has gone on to become one of the most anticipated events of the year in Fortnite.

Fortnite Winterfest 2023 start & end dates
Fortnite Winterfest 2023 got underway Thursday, December 14, 2023, and will last until Tuesday, January 2, 2024. This gives players just under three weeks to claim every free reward and tick off every wintery Quest.

The Fortnite Winterfest 2023 update also brings back some holiday-themed weapons and items from past years. This includes the Presents, which can be thrown on the ground and contain a ton of rare loot to help you on your way to victory.

- Snowball Launcher.
- Snowy Flopper
- Icy Grappler
Fortnite Winterfest 2023 daily rewards
Fortnite players can also earn plenty of free cosmetics during the Winterfest 2023 event in form of daily rewards. Every 24 hours, fans can log in and open a present containing one of 14 items, including two brand-new skins and their LEGO variants – Winterfest Bushranger and Holiday Boxy.
In the past, fans were able to visit a small cabin full of presents, opening one each day to receive a holiday-themed cosmetic, but the feature has been removed this year.
There are also plenty of themed Quests to compelte, giving players the chance to earn even more rewards, such as the Snowglobe Smasher Pickaxe.
