Ever since its release, the skins in Fortnite’s Item Shop have a variant for LEGO too. However, players believe that the new game is responsible for ruining the in-game store.

LEGO Fortnite has been extremely popular ever since it was introduced in Chapter 5 Season 1, drawing inspiration from a lot of other survival sandbox games like Minecraft and Rust

Players, however, believe that by introducing skins with LEGO Fortnite variants, the developers killed the quality of the Item Shop. They further believe that whenever a non-collaboration skin appears in the in-game store, it doesn’t come in a bundle.

Player Skull-OWar spoke about this issue on Reddit, listing a couple of reasons why they felt that LEGO Fortnite ruined the Item Shop. According to them, the collaboration between Epic Games and LEGO prevented them from introducing skins in the in-game store that did not have a variant for LEGO Fortnite.

Others agreed with this statement and said no one would care about the Signature Styles tab if the Daily and Featured tabs existed. They further added that some of the skins in the shop had already been in rotation at least 4-5 times in the past month.

Some players also believe that LEGO Fortnite didn’t kill the Item Shop because it was already in a bad place to begin with. They argued that LEGO Fortnite can’t be solely to blame because not every skin in the shop can be used in the LEGO mode, and plenty of skins with LEGO variants are missing.

While a considerable number of players are unhappy with the current state of the Item Shop, there are a few who feel otherwise. According to them, even if Epic Games were to release a whole catalog of skins, they would still be unhappy. Players also pointed out that if all the skins were available together, the developers couldn’t establish a sense of rarity in the in-game store.
